Here are the three ideas that I scrapped before landing on an appropriate "About" section:

  • A deep dive into the philosophical framework of personhood via the various artistic mediums through which I engage my audience. [halfway through, I realized I had no idea what any of that meant].

  • A quote, modified via artistic license [and what would be legally considered "libel"] that would essentially constitute as a co-sign from Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

  • Any video of James Baldwin speaking. Didn't matter which one.

To be clear, these were the BEST ideas, as in this was what was left AFTER eliminating the "bad ideas." I'm so horrible at talking about myself that I seriously considered using a video of someone else talking about anything.

With all of that said, I suppose, the only thing left to say is that my work speaks for itself. And that is because my work is the most honest reflection of who I am. To make this "about me" about me would come dangerously close to living my truth in absolute. And if I could do that I don't think would need Art, in the first place.

So for now, I will introduce you to me, through mediums I continue to explore and expound upon. Sometimes it is a word. Sometimes it is an image. Sometimes it is sound. Usually, it is all three. No matter what, it is painfully honest.
